Wash and dry your hands
before performing the test, and read the instructions on the pack insert
carefully, following them exactly.
Collect the blood sample:
Wipe a fingertip with an alcohol-impregnated tissue
and allow it to dry.
Place the lancet against the end of the finger and press
the plunger, hold for a second then release.
Wipe away the first drop of blood.
Dispose of the lancet safely.
Perform the blood test:
Remove the test device from foil pouch.
Add one drop of blood to the sample well marked
‘S’.
Cut the sealed end off the plastic pipette, gently
squeeze the bulb and discard the first drop. Then add 4 drops of the
solution to the well marked ‘S’ and wait for 5 minutes.
Look for a pink coloured line in the control area, marked
‘C’ this indicates that the test is complete. If no line appears in this
area then the test is not valid and should be repeated using a new device.
Results
If no additional pink line appears, then it indicates that
H.Pylori antibodies are not present in the sample and the test is negative.
If an additional line appears in the test area then H.pylori antibodies
have been detected. Therefore the test is positive.
Do not read the test result after 10 minutes.
