Buy our simple home Alcohol Saliva Test
We have two different alcohol tests to offer. The first is a simple, accurate and reliable saliva test. This test provides an estimation of blood alcohol levels.
The second test is more safisticated but still very simple to use and accurate. The breathalyser test will offer you a digital read out based on the alchol level found in the sample of breath given.

The AL6000 analyzes a breath sample to detect alcohol in the lungs. This reading is then converted to blood alcohol concentration (BRAC - mg/L). The AL6000 uses an advanced oxide semiconductor sensor to detect alcohol. The AL6000 is the first and only breathalyzer that features Pre-Calibrated Alcohol Sensor Modules to eliminate the need for recalibration. Just snap out, snap in and you’re ready to go!

If you have a drinking session the night before it may be helpful to know if you are over the limit the following morning. Especially if your job involves the ability to drive or concentrate.
The blood alcohol concentration at which an individual becomes impaired is variable dependent on the individual, such as size, weight, metabolic rates, eating habits and alcohol tolerance.
How accurate is this test?
It is well established that the concentration of alcohol in saliva is comparable to that of blood. The relationship between the amount of saliva alcohol and blood alcohol is 1:1 while with breath it is .000048:1, making saliva a more sensitive testing medium than breath.
Test procedure
Nothing should be placed into the mouth for at least 10 minutes prior to saliva collection. This includes food, drink, tobacco products or other materials. The saliva specimen can be collected in a cup or a clean container, or directly applied to the reaction pad of the test strip.
Open the foil package and remove the test strip.
Saturate the reactive pad by dipping the reaction pad into the saliva specimen collected in a sputum cup, or by applying saliva directly to the reaction pad. After 10 seconds, shake off the excess saliva.
Immediately start timer and at 2 minutes, compare the reactive pad with the provided coloured chart.
Results after more than 2 minutes may be not accurate
It is possible to detect the presence of alcohol in other fluids, such as drinks. However, if used in this manner the colour chart on the outside of the package does not apply. If alcohol is present in the fluid a colour change ranging from a yellow/light blue/dark blue/black will occur as the alcohol concentration increases. Little or no colour change may occur with pure alcohol due to the absence of water, which is required for the colour change reaction.
Results
Negative: Almost no colour change by comparing with the background. The negative result indicates that the BAC is less than 0.02%. Positive: A distinct colour developed all over the pad. The positive result indicates that the BAC is 0.02% or higher. Invalid: The test should be considered invalid If only the edge of the reactive pad turned colour that might be ascribed to insufficient sampling. The subject should be re-tested.
This test ranges from zero alcohol present to the legal driving limit and above. The legal limit at the current time in the UK is 80milligrams of alcohol per 100millitres of blood. This is marked as 0.08% on the packet.
Test limitations
This alcohol test could provide inaccurate results if the instructions are not carried out properly. Please remember the following:
Failure to wait 15 minutes after placing food, drink or other materials in the mouth before running the test can provide inaccurate results due to possible contamination of the saliva by interfering substances.
If you wait longer than 2 minutes before reading the result.
Rapid Alcohol Test is designed for use with human saliva only. A positive result indicates only the presence of alcohol and does not indicate or measure intoxication. There is a possibility that technical or procedure error as well other substances in certain foods and medicines may interfere with the test and cause false results.
Never use the test past the expiry date on the outer packet.
The readings provided on this device are accurate, but should be used as a guide only of the amount of alcohol consumed.
Prior to conducting a test, 20 minutes should have elapsed since the last drink of alcohol. If donor has been smoking - wait for one minute after the last cigarette.
Test procedure
Fit a new unused clear plastic mouthpiece to the breath pipe
Turn power switch ON. The detector will then display a countdown from 200 to 000. (This is the warm-up procedure)
A beep will sound and a green light will be on, the machine is now READY
The donor should now blow steadily into the pipe until the beep sounds again (approximately 3 seconds), then STOP
If the machine is not used within 30 seconds it will display OFF and beep.
Interpretation of results
After the donor has finished blowing, the red and green lights will flicker simultaneously for 4 seconds
The test result will be displayed for 15 seconds
If the donor has only consumed a very small amount of alcohol the display may just show 0.00
The reading is BREATH ALCOHOL CONTENT (BRAC) and 0.25mg/l* is the default setting. At this level a red WARN lamp will be flickering along with the ALARM sound.
Unless successive testing is to be carried out switch off when OFF is displayed.
If Red warning light “Hot” this is due to excesses of Alcohol
Successive testing
Wait for two minutes between tests
Replace clear plastic mouthpiece
Repeat testing proce
Warning
When BAT LOW lamp is on, replace the 9v alkaline battery
Keep the machine at temperature between 32 - 104 degrees F
Remove car adaptor from vehicle socket when not in use
Do not blow smoke or liquid into the device
Recalibrate when necessary after approximately 700 tests or every 6-12 month.

Drinking alcohol in ANY amount may impair the ability to drive. There is no “safe” level of alcohol intake before driving. Don’t drink and drive.
Note: The maximum reading the device can show is 0.400%. A true BAC of 0.400% or above may result in the onset of coma or even death by respiratory arrest. A reading of 0.400% may indicate an acutely dangerous condition, but may also indicate a sampling error (such as liquid alcohol blown into the device). Please carefully read the Warnings section of this manual before operating the device.
Warnings
Wait at least 20 minutes after eating or drinking before testing. Alcohol remaining in the mouth, or even excess saliva, may interfere with testing. This includes alcohol-based mouthwash or similar products.
Avoid testing in high wind or enclosed spaces. Poor ventilation may also lengthen the time required for warm up between tests.
Do NOT blow smoke, saliva or other contaminants into the mouthpiece, as the sensor may become damaged.
Do NOT use the AL6000 as a tool to drink and drive.
Keep out of extreme temperatures and out of the reach of children.
To maintain accuracy, we recommend replacing the alcohol sensor module inside the AL6000 every 200 tests or at least once a year, whichever comes first. Large numbers of "high positive" (high alcohol) readings may require replacing the module much sooner than normally expected.
WARNING DISPLAY “Flo”: If you see “Flo” in the display, the breath sample was not strong enough for measurement. Please try again and make sure the breath is strong and steady during sampling.
WARNING DISPLAY “Cal”: If you see “Cal” in the display, the unit requires sensor module replacement. It is recommended that you use the cumulative test counter to determine when you should replace the sensor module. The cumulative test count can be seen by pressing and continuously holding down the Power Button on start up. The “Cal” message may or may not display regularly when sensor replacement is actually necessary.
WARNING DISPLAY “Bat”: If you see “Bat” in the display, the battery power is low. Please replace the batteries.
Remove the battery cover at the bottom of the unit and replace the old batteries with two new 1.5V “AA” batteries. Make sure to properly align the batteries by looking at the +/- marks.
This drug test will test for all the common drugs misused used in the UK.
